Is Robert Kennedy Jr. now running the Alberta health system?

My recollection is that this approach is grounded in recommendations from the American vaccine committee, not the Canadian one. So, yes.

Canadians do not take orders or direction from foreign governments. Time to charge her with fraud.

It seems like the Smith Regime has signed up RFK Jr as a “special advisor” on vaccine policy

I just tried to sign up for a Covid jab. I registered yesterday--step one of two--and this morning, got onto the "book an appointment" web page. Guess what? Three vaccines were listed, and Covid wasn't one of them.

It says the list was selected to be "appropriate to your age group." I'm 64. this means either:

1) the programmer, or his boss, was incompetent and the Covid button hasn't been added yet, or

2) Smith's UCP government is deliberately rationing the Covid vaccine.

If 1, there's no excuse. If 2, it's a clear violation of the Canada Health Act.

Time to complain to Smith at https://www.alberta.ca/premier-contact.cfm . Time to complain to the Federal government about Smith cutting off health care services for no better reason than "Because I can!"

They haven't added the COVID shot yet; that's why it's not listed. At this point, all you can do is register so that some time later you can try and, hopefully, book a COVID shot.

OK, thank you to Tom Wilson and Dena for pointing out the correct procedure. I just "pre-ordered" both flu and Covid jabs. Fingers crossed I eventually get the promised emails saying "you can book now."

But it still feels like rationing.

Yeah, I've got it now. I think making it difficult is the actual point here.

Yep. It's an "administrative burden," just like Prof. Young said. Discourage the yokels from signing up, 'cause vaccines are evil and must be stopped.

Or maybe I missed a step in the three different web pages that eventually lead to "book your appointment." Incompetence, rationing, or confusion on my part, it's still a knee-jerk attempt to deny people the Covid vaccine.

Yet the people of Alberta sing her praises…. Our politicians aren’t the problem, our voters are the problem.

We can preorder a dose but, "𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙚-𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩". (emphasis added)

Then, if eligible, we can try to book an appointment to get vaccinated but only at a provincial health clinic and for an as yet undisclosed sum. It might be $110 as guessed by various people. It might be $10 or $150. But we won't know til later. I guess the Alberta Health performance in becoming the North American epicentre for measles will be challenged as we become the epicentre for COVID.

This is what I did - click on the "pre-order" option and sign up for notification if/when an appointment is available in your region.

I suspect this will prevail until the UCP figures out that a large part of their base are seniors who will die without easy access to to vaccines …

Smiths public health policies are a betrayal of her duty to protect. Covid, measles- what’s next- polio?

These are people who don't believe COVID is an actual illness, or if it is an illness, it's no worse than a cold or flu (thank you, Jason Kenney), and that vaccines are more dangerous than the infectious diseases they prevent. And don't get them started on MRNA vaccines*. The next step will be making getting any vaccine as complicated as this, followed by cutting off access to vaccines altogether.

*they mess with your DNA doncha know?

No one mentions that you have to FIND a shot because pharmacists and GPs won’t be administering them. I am wheelchair bound so I can take our wonderful accessible vans to get there. But how do I get home? Another $40 accessible taxi. Sigh.

Is anyone surprised about this defenceless decision. The UselessCP are concerned about waste. Turkish Tylenol anyone? An immunocompromised senior person whom I know is very concerned about this UselessCP plan. She knows that she will likely have access to the covid vaccine whenever it arrives but is concerned about her children and her grandchildren not having access. If there is a covid outbreak her family will have to stay away from her! She also commented that this group of morons have planned not to give the usual double dose of influenza vaccine to seniors. No one has commented about this in the media. Shame.

You need to PRE-ORDER your vaccines. When I tried to register, I found I was already registerd - probably during Covid years. When I tried to book a vaccine appointment at a public health clinic clinic, there were no appts. I backtracked and somehow came to a page where I had to preorder my flu and covid vaccines. When/if the vaccines are available, I will be notified and then I can book an appointment at a public health clinic.

I almost believed your joke 😃 That's how crazy and effed up living in Alberta Trumpsmithlandia has become.

Feds should intervene. We need monitoring of federal funds in Alberta and every province. Governments cheapen and chisel, privatise, reallocate and steal from CITIZENS. Time to hold them to account.

You'd have to wonder how the Hon. Dale Nally, Minister of Red Tape Reduction and Service? Alberta, is going to be able to explain this bull shit to me and the rest of his constituents in St. Albert-Morinville?

As he's never answered any of the other Why TF questions about his boss and government's path I suspect the same will show up here.

Amazing they can develop far clearer ways to tax your stand up paddle board than they can to protect Albertan's health?
