You need to invest in Canva!

But here's my question: Even if Smith gets a whopping level of support from the party, is there any likelihood that result leads the government to actually govern? By which I mean, actually start dealing with ERs, lack of access to primary care, etc., etc. It just seems that your government and mine are just not that interested in being a government anymore.

I like to think that the low-tech visuals are part of the charm, Tom! And no, I don't think there's much interest in governing, no matter what. Sadly.

Politics is so much fun; governing such a drag.

I knew the Pentagon would confess eventually to those chemtrails!

Of course you could be in Ontario, where Doug Ford is planning to build a tunnel under the 401 highway. Has Danielle Smith considered this vote-getter?

I will watch the convention with interest, though it probably won’t be available here in Ottawa, where we have the House of Commons show instead.

The Premier is certifiably bananas.

Yup ! The wingnuts have taken over and it will be interesting how Smith provides leadership after the AGM? There certainly hasn’t been any governance up to this point which proves she needs to go, shes no leader… it’s personal power and greed for Dani.. she’s not even doing her extreme RW fan club any favours. She thinks she’s still a talk show host… as opposed to a leader. 😢We have become the laughing stock of the country and this will get worse…I feel this AGM will be very chaotic as the “wing-nuts” fight and exercise their control and she will sit and allow them to do so..🧐 good article Lisa ✅

Chemtrails did it. I really can't do anything if it is the US military. World wide laughter heard even in rural Alberta.

Interesting and entertaining as always, Lisa. I wonder who exactly is paying the way for these private school families and friends to attend? The schools? The premier? Follow the money!

Also, i agree, Tom. It would be nice if our elected officials would actually do their jobs.

And a Muslim private school to boot. Crafty strategy.

Curiously (to me at least) it occurs to me that this fixation on the UCP AGM is a feature of those who are opposed to the Premier and/or the UCP and it's supporters.

To those of us who are somewhat indifferent to the Premier / the UCP and it's supporters we are content to allow the event to play itself out without having a great deal of angst about it.

Curiously? Indeed. Some people just LOOK for problems.

I guess you're one of those people sailing up there "beyond the fray" eh?

I guess it's kind of like being "in heaven" to live in your very own alternate reality where you don't have to worry about all the pesky scientists/alarmists predicting potentially catastrophic climate change when any LAYMAN can see it's just another spate of weird "weather?" Nothing that different happening HERE.

How IS that rarefied air up there anyway? Probably just fine for all you "common sense" guys who generally regard "Mother Nature" like you do the environment--endlessly malleable, giving, and naturally, a given.

I guess we really should have called it "Father Nature;" it might have got the respect it deserves sooner...

My guess is that Danielle Smith is acting out of despair, and wants to do whatever she can to stay in power.

The approval rating for Danielle Smith is above 90% at her leadership review. It's suspicious how this happened, because it came from worthless promises and deceit.

The Take Back Alberta Crew of what ~5000 people booted Kenny because he was too moderate and now are forcing Premier Smith (willing?) to extremes to keep her leadership.

Chemtrails FFS! Can it gat any worse?
